EG&R's professionals have designed remediation systems using various technologies including pump and treat, soil vapor extraction, soil venting coupled with air sparging, stabilization/chemical fixation, in-situ and ex-situ bioremediation, soil washing and thermal remediation technologies. EG&R's team has designed recovery systems for Light, Non-Aqueous Phase Liquids (LNAPLs, such as gasoline and fuel oils) and Dense, Non-Aqueous Phase Liquids (DNAPLs, such as TCE, coal tars, some PCB oils, etc.). Our team has experience in using surfactant-enhanced remediation technologies for the removal of pure phase DNAPLs and the residual contamination. EG&R has teaming arrangements with technology-based remediation companies to supplement our capabilities for remediation system design and technology implementation.
EG&R's senior professionals have provided expert review services for many remediation system designs. Further, our senior professionals of specialize in developing and applying numerical models to the design and optimization of pump and treat, soil vapor extraction, and thermal remediation systems. Our geotechnical engineers are capable of designing physical barrier systems such as slurry walls.
