Dr. B.V. RAO, Principal/CEO and Director of Environmental Services, EG&R Environmental Services (A Division of Universe Resources LLC),  has been approved by New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP), as a Licensed  Site Remediation Professional (LSRP), under the newly enacted NJDEP's Site Remediation and Reform Act (SRRA). SRRA came into effect on November 4, 2009. Under this new law, Responsible Parties to site remediation should engage an LSRP to guide them through the investigation to completion of remediation of contaminated sites in New Jersey.

LSRPs are responsible to issue "Response Action Outcome (RAO)", which is equivalent to NJDEP's "No Further Action" letter.

Dr. Rao is a hydrogeologist/geochemist/geo-environmental engineer with over 30 years of experience. He has successfully managed and directed over 300 major environmental projects throughout the United States. Dr. Rao's experience encompasses environmental site assessments, soil and groundwater investigations and remediation, feasibility studies, human and ecological risk assessments, hydrologic/hydrogeological studies, groundwater modeling, environmental permitting and compliance (CERCLA, RCRA, CWA/NPDES, NEPA, ISRA) and data evaluations and validation. He specializes in the investigation and remediation of sites contaminated with Dense, Non-Aqueous Phase Liquids (DNAPLs), such as a chlorinated hydrocarbons, coal tar, etc.

Dr. Rao received his Ph.D degree in Geology/Geochemistry in 1981 from Indiana University, Bloomington, IN. Later, he continued post-doctoral studies for four years in University of Toronto (Canada). He also holds a masters degree in geological engineering and bachelor's degree in mathematics and physics.
